ALLEGAN, Mich. - A night of celebration built around a country theme. The 43rd annual Ottawa Area Center prom for students with special need is a night to remember for everyone involved.

A formal dance is something everyone deserves to experience. And Phil Doyle is making dreams come true for a special girl named Bailey.

"So my date is my fiances old student and when she was in the hospital I went with her and she liked me," said Phil.

Bailey and Doyle went to prom for the first time last year. Now, Phil is helping Bailey celebrate life for the second year in a row at prom.

"You kind of get a whole new perspective on things, cause a lot of people don`t have interaction with children," said Phil.

Most students we spoke with, including Carl Hoskins, said the best part is spending time with the people closest to you.

"I live having fun dancing with some of my favorite people and dancing to some of my favorite songs," said Carl.

Terry Goldberg, Teacher of Grand Haven CBI one, has been organizing the dance for many years and tells us the food was cooked by the students, for the students. The meal was followed by a night of uninhibited, care free dancing. People enjoying life to the fullest on a night they'll never forget.
