CASS COUNTY, Mich. — Police say a man suffered minor injuries when he crashed his Ultralight aircraft into a tree, and they have reason to believe alcohol was involved.

The crash happened Tuesday night at 24970 M-60 in La Grange Township.  According to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, Carl Rosander, 57, was flying near his residence when his aircraft hit a tree and crashed.

Rosander was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, and is expected to be okay.  Deputies say alcohol is believed to have played a role in this crash.
