Sandy passed away on June 29, 1989 after suffering with cancer. That fall the first event was held in Sandy’s honor. The Sandy Corley Memorial Run was a tribute to Sandy by the members of the chapter and his family and friends. There was a ride , an auction and plenty of fellowship amongst the riders. The proceeds of the first event and the following 4 went to the American Cancer Society in Sandy’s name. The event has continued to grow for the last 24 years. Each year the members of the Fremont Harley Owners Group come up with new ideas to raise more funds for cancer treatment.

All the funds now raised by the group go to the Johnson Family Center for Cancer Care.. Over the last 26 years over $1.5 Million has been donated in the remembrance of Sandy Corley to aid in the treatment of cancer victims.

The memorial run will take place June 11th - 13th. To find out more information, visit their website, www.sandycorley.com or find them on Facebook.
