ENSLEY TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- Troopers with the Michigan State Police are currently conducting an investigation at a home in southern Newaygo County where authorities say a man was found dead and a woman was injured.

The investigation is taking place in the 9000 block of 128th Street, northwest of Sand Lake.

Just after 10:00 p.m. a Michigan State Police Crime Lab unit arrived on the scene to begin processing evidence in the home.

Bystanders at the scene who say they're related to the couple that lives at the home tell FOX17 a husband and wife are believed to be the victims.

Newaygo County Prosecutor Robert Springstead spoke to the media shortly after 10:00 p.m., saying the investigation is in its early stages.

Springstead said authorities responded to the home around 5:00 p.m., but beside the fact that a male was dead and a woman was injured, details as to what they found inside aren't being shared at this time.

Springstead said it's too early to identify either the male found dead in the home or the woman who was hospitalized, or the circumstances leading up to the situation, as authorities are still in the process of notifying relatives.

However, relatives on scene identified the man as Martin 'Marty' Duram and the woman as Glenna Duram, both in their mid-40s.

"The neighbors have been notified," said Springstead.  "There's been a neighborhood canvas.  We don't believe that the neighbors are in danger at this point."
