ALLEGAN, Mich. -- Federal court documents filed in the last week show the attorney for an Allegan County deputy and the Allegan County denies excessive force was used during the arrest and detainment of Aaron Henderson.

Henderson filed a lawsuit after an alleged attack during his arrest in February 2014.

Henderson's attorney says the attack Henderson suffered while in custody, which was documented on surveillance cameras, left Henderson with a bloodied face and broken bones around his eye.

The lawsuit is seeking damages in excess of $75,000.

The attorney representing the deputy and the county is asking the court to dismiss the lawsuit.
