BISSELL Blocktail Party® is a fundraising event founded in 2005 by a group of animal advocates to support local, West Michigan animal welfare organizations. The Committee has dedicated many years to animal welfare, and, since 2012, all funds raised will be contributed to the BISSELL Pet Foundation; a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2011 to assist animal welfare organizations and their efforts to reduce the number of animals in shelters and rescues.
We are excited to announce that BISSELL Blocktail Party® is turning 10 this year- that’s 70 in dog years! This annual event has raised nearly 1 million dollars for local animal welfare organizations since its grass-roots beginnings on Cherry Street. We are so proud of this accomplishment, however, so much work still needs to be done.
This year, we are hosting the “BEST DOG-GONE Party in Town” on Tuesday, June 9, from 6 to 9 p.m. We expect 700 two-legged guests and their furry friends to join us for a birthday celebration on the beautiful lawn of Mangiamo!
