GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – A Rockford Public Safety sergeant has been arrested on charges of driving drunk.
Aaron Sawyer, 32, was arrested Sunday and booked into the Kent County Jail. He was released Monday. The arrest was made by the Kent County Sheriff’s Department.
According to Kent County Chief Assistant Prosecutor Chris Becker, Sawyer’s blood-alcohol content was at least 0.17, which is more than twice the legal limit. That means Sawyer will be charged under the state’s “super drunk” laws.
