ALLEGAN COUNTY, Mich. -- Investigators with the Allegan County Sheriff's Department say a social media post in May may be the next clue needed to find a man suspected of killing his wife in January.
A relative of the victim, Sara Knight, contacted authorities after noticing someone had 'liked' a post on Facebook using the deceased wife's account.
Investigators tell FOX17 the continued investigation revealed that it's highly probable the only person who likely has the password to the Facebook account is Sara's husband, Harold "Butch" Knight.
Investigators say it's likely Knight, who's been on the run since mid-January, likely has access to a computer with internet capabilities. They're now working to pinpoint which computer was used to 'like' the post, and where it came from.
Knight, who's considered armed and dangerous, was last sighted in a rural Maine community in mid-January.
The 66-year-old is wanted in connection to the murder of his wife, Sara Knight, who was found deceased in the couple's home in Ganges Township on January 13.
Anyone with information on Knight's whereabouts is asked to contact the Allegan County Sheriff's Office at 269-673-0500.
