BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – A structure fire that involved a garage and three cars was contained early Sunday morning.
At approximately 3:15 a.m. the Pennfield Township Fire Department responded to a call about a fire in a garage that occurred at a home on Oxford Street in Battle Creek.
According to officials, the fire originated from a parked car outside of the garage and spread towards it as well as surrounding homes.
Firefighters contained the fire to the garage where it was put it out 30-45 minutes later.
Three houses endured fire exposure.
Everyone was evacuated safely and there were no injuries.
Officials reported that residents went back into their homes shortly after.
Pennfield Township Fire Department is still investigating the fire.
They were assisted by Emmett Township Fire Department, Bedford Township Fire Department, and the Battle Creek Fire Department.
