BYRON CENTER, Mich. — A family is safe, but looking for a place to stay Sunday morning after their home in Byron Center burned.
According to firefighters, the fire started just before 6 a.m. Sunday morning at the residence in the 2000 block of Ridgecrest Street.
The fire is believed to have ignited in a garage connected to the residence. That garage along with two vehicles inside it were severely damaged.
Firefighters remained on the scene throughout the morning putting out what they said were potential “flareups”.
