GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.--Police have arrested five people in connection to an assault video that's now gone viral.

Grand Rapids Police posted the video of the July 28th assault on their Facebook page this past Monday. The video shows a shirtless white man being attacked by a group of people he was passing. It happened just outside Rosa Parks Circle, near the corner of Monroe Ave. and Louis St.

That video has since been seen more than a million times, according to Facebook.

Police said, of those identified in the video, four are juveniles and one is 17 years old. They've all been arrested, and the Kent County Prosecutors Office has authorized petitions for 'Intent to do Great Bodily Harm less than Murder'. The juveniles will be charged as such.

That charge has a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and/or a $5,000 fine.

The investigation is ongoing and remains open. Police are thanking citizens for their assistance with providing leads, but are still requesting additional information. If you know anything, you're asked to call 616-457-3337 or Silent Observer at 616-774-2345.
