GRAND RAPIDS, Mich — High school football is back and so is the Blitz. This week, we will have extended coverage of high school football during sports on Thursday, and then the first Blitz of the year airing Friday night at 10:30 p.m.

Friday, we kick off the Blitz with Jackson Lumen Christi at West Catholic as game of the week. The Falcons have won the last two Division 5 state championships and three of the last four. Lumen Christi has won five Division 5 state titles the since the turn of the century.
Our Blitz Battle will feature two-time defending Division 8 state champion Muskegon Catholic Central playing at Oakridge in the school’s first ever meeting in football.
