MUSKEGON HEIGHTS, Mich. — A man is dead after being shot Friday afternoon. It happened around 1:30 p.m. in the area of Amsterdam and 9th Street in Muskegon Heights. The Muskegon Heights Police Department said the victim, Marquis Grider-Simms, 22, died from a gunshot wound.
He was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
