Aeromed flies woman seriously hurt to hospital after Lowell crash

Posted

LOWELL, Mich. —  Areomed flew a woman to the hospital for serious injuries sustained in a head-on collision in Lowell Friday evening.

Kent County Sheriffs say that Sadie Bowers of Belding, 33, was traveling westbound Vergennes near Lowell High School when a 16-year-old driver driving east crossed the center line and collided into her car around 9:40 PM.

Deputies and Lowell Fire located the accident with Bowers pinned in her car. She was freed and transported to Spectrum Downtown via Aeromed for her serious injuries.

The 16-year-old driver had two other passengers – each 15 – with him at the time of the accident. Neither of them were injured.

Sheriffs do not believe that alcohol was a factor.

The accident is still under investigation.
