SODUS TOWNSHIP, Mich. — One person is dead after a crash caused a deadly vehicle fire.
According to deputies, the fire happened near the intersection of Tabor and River Road around 7:45 Saturday night.
Deputies say the vehicle ran off the road and rolled into a series of irrigation lines, causing extensive damage to the front of the vehicle.
When emergency crews arrived on the scene, they say the vehicle was fully engulfed in flames. After crews put out the fire, a body was pulled out of the drivers seat.
This accident remains under investigation by the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department.
