LUDINGTON, Mich. – The Mason County Sheriff’s Office and the FAA have figured out what was responsible for a green laser being pointed at an incoming airplane last week.
Christmas lights.
Deputies determined that what a pilot of a plane carrying U.S. mail saw last Wednesday night was a Christmas laser projector pointed at a barn in the 2300 block of north Tuttle Road.
The deputies were in the area when the pilot reported the issues on a previous night and noticed the light from the image that was projected on the barn was reflecting into the sky. The homeowner had also told deputies that she saw the reports about the pilot seeing the green laser and she was wondering if it was her decorations.
The woman has unplugged the decoration that caused the reflection.
