DETROIT (AP) — The doors have closed at the annual Detroit auto show.

Spokesman Max Muncey says there were 515,000 visitors by Thursday night, up by 7,000 compared to last year, and thousands more passed through Cobo Center throughout the weekend.

College student Ki-Jana Malone may not be ready for a new car, but she enjoys getting behind the wheel of what’s new and hot. On Sunday, the last day, it was an Audi S-5.

Sylvia Thomas, a school counselor, tells The Detroit News she likes to see so many people in downtown Detroit. She says she gets tired of the city’s negative image.

More than 808,000 people attended the North American International Auto Show in 2015.
