WYOMING, Mich. — Police in Wyoming are trying to find three suspects accused in an attempted armed robbery that escalated into a deadly shooting.

It happened late Wednesday night near 44th St. and Division Ave. Police say three young males had just exited a Rapid bus, and were walking together.  Three other males who had also been on the bus got off at the same stop and followed the first three.

Once the suspects caught up with the other group, two of them pulled handguns and attempted to rob the victims.  All three victims took off running, and the two armed suspects fired multiple gunshots at them.

One of the victims, a 17-year-old male, was fatally wounded.  The other two were not injured.

The three suspects then fled the scene.  Police attempted to track them, but nothing turned up.  They believe the suspects boarded a Rapid bus near 28th St. and Division Ave.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 616-530-7300.
