SILVER CREEK TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Two people were injured after their vehicle hit a tree.

Cass County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a traffic crash on Forest Beach Street near M-62 at 9:10 p.m. on Friday.

Deputies say the driver, 38 year old Levie Williams, was headed northbound on Forest Beach Street when he lost control of the vehicle and hit a tree.

Williams and a passenger, 37 year old Tracy Lear, sustained minor injuries in the accident.

Both were taken to a local hospital.

Deputies say the two were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor, according to deputies.
