BYRON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A 62-year-old man was found dead Tuesday in Buck Creek.
The Kent County Sheriff’s Department says James William Hoffmann was found “partially submerged” in the creek near the 400 block of 68th Street SW. A person walking near the railroad tracks discovered Hoffmann’s body.
An autopsy showed “no signs of injuries or foul play,” according to a release.
Officials say Hoffman was homeless and they believe he was living in the area. No other details were released.
