NORTON SHORES, Mich. — Jessica Heeringa’s disappearance has attracted national attention, and on Monday her case is scheduled to air on the show Disappeared on Investigation Discovery. The episode will air at 10 p.m.
Heeringa was 25 years old when she vanished from the Exxon station off E. Sternberg Road in Norton Shores on April 26, 2013. The young mother had been working the late shift alone at the time. Police say her purse, money and car were left behind. A small amount of Jessica’s blood was found outside of the building, which led investigators to believe she was abducted.
A sketch of a man was released in the investigation shortly after Heeringa disappeared, but no arrests have been made in the case. Police say they still get tips regularly, and they hope a tip will eventually lead to Jessica.
When the young mother disappeared, her son was just three years old at the time. He is being cared for by family.
A Facebook page has been set up to help offer information in the case and support for Jessica’s loved ones.
There is a reward of more than $20,000 for information leading to Jessica.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Norton Shores Police Department at 231-733-2691 or Silent Observer at 231-72-CRIME.
