HOLLAND, Mich. - A 87-year-old woman from South Haven has died after being in a crash Monday afternoon.

The crash happened on M-40 at I-196.  Lorraine Bossenga, 87, was a passenger in a car driven by a 78-year-old woman who was also from South Haven.  Holland police say that they were turning left onto northbound M-40 from the I-196 ramp when they pulled in front of another car heading south on M-40.  That car, driven by a 22-year-old Holland man, collided with the women's car.

Bossenga was taken to Holland Hospital and then on to Spectrum Hospital where she died from her injuries.  The other woman and the Holland man were both taken to Holland Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Anyone that may have witnessed the crash is asked to contact investigators at policetips@cityofholland.com or call Sgt. Kender at 616-355-1122.
