NUNICA, Mich. — A fire on board a “Lakeshore Transport” bus slowed traffic on I-96 near Nunica Saturday evening.
The bus was stopped alongside eastbound I-96 near Nunica around 5:30 Saturday evening with thick black smoke and flames seen coming from the front of the vehicle.
Ottawa County dispatch confirmed to FOX 17 the fire had been put out by 6 p.m. It’s unclear how many people were on board or where the bus was headed, but no one was injured, according to dispatchers.
