DOWAGIAC, Mich. — A 28-year-old man is facing an assault charge after police say he attacked someone with a knife at a Dowagiac bar.
Police were called to the 100 block of Beeson Street just before midnight on Saturday after a fight was reported at a bar in the area. Police found a person who had been “injured multiple times” with a knife, according to a release.
The victim’s injuries were non-life threatening, police said.
The suspect, Donte Lofton, was arrested in the area. Investigators also located the knife used in the attack.
He is currently being held at the Cass County Jail on a $10,000 bond, according to a release.
