KENT CITY, Mich. - A two-year-old child was found at home Tuesday morning with the body of a 49-year-old man.
The man has been identified by the family's minister as Ron Finkler. The child is not related to Finkler, but officials say that he was a family friend who was taking care of her. A friend of Finkler found him after not hearing from him.
He was found unresponsive at a home in the 15000 block of Peach Ridge Avenue NW. Officials were called to the home at about 9:50 a.m.
The toddler was taken to the hospital to be checked out but did not seem to be harmed. It's unknown how long she was alone after the man died.
