GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Grand Rapids Police Department hosted the Police Memorial Day Service Tuesday morning.
Officers with a tie to Grand Rapids commemorated those killed in the line of duty here in Michigan and across the country. The memorial also lets the families know that the officers haven’t forgotten the sacrifices made by those who have passed.
The memorial has been a tradition for nearly 20 years.
