ADA TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Two vehicles were damaged after a giant tree fell across Ada Drive Wednesday.

The tree fell near the Grand Rapids Bicycle Company, according to the Ada Village Facebook page.

Ada Township officials say it’s unclear what caused the tree to fall.  One vehicle was heavily damaged and another’s windshield was broken.

No one was injured during the incident.   The Kent County Road Commission removed the tree and Ada Drive has since reopened.

Township officials say the tree was over 100 years old.
