BARRY COUNTY, Mich. — A water rescue led deputies to arrest a 30-year-old man from Orangeville.

It started Friday night around 9:30 on Algonquin Lake. That’s when dispatchers got a call about a capsized boat that sent two people into the water.

When crews got there, they got the two out of the water safely. The woman was released, but they arrested the man for a probation violation and resisting and obstructing.

Deputies say alcohol was a factor.

Names are not being released at this time.
