WYOMING, Mich. -- After police conducted multiple searches for a missing woman in Wyoming early Friday morning, Mary Jane Tiller was found safe by a family member.

The search included a Michigan State Police helicopter and officers on the ground.

Tiller, 53, had not been seen since Thursday afternoon.  Her family was concerned for her well-being because she suffers from a medical condition that limits her mobility, and she may try to hurt herself.

Viewers started calling our newsroom, emailing us, and sending us messages on Facebook at approximately 1:00 a.m. asking about low-flying helicopters and a police presence in the area of 52nd Street and Clyde Park Avenue.

We sent a crew to investigate, and sure enough, there were several police cruisers at Palmer Park, with at least one MSP helicopter flying overhead.  When we asked an officer about the searches, we were told they were "searching for a female" who was later identified as Tiller.
