Prisma, a new photo app available on iOS devices, transforms your photos into art.
“Prisma transforms your photos into artworks using the styles of famous artists: Van Gogh, Picasso, Levitan, as well as world famous ornaments and patterns,” the company writes on its website.
The app uses “a unique combination of neural networks and artificial intelligence helps you turn memorable moments into timeless art.”
The app was created by a company in Russia. Less than a week after its launch in June, the developer had to double the app’s server capacity to accommodate demand.
The new app is available now in the App Store. The Android app is currently in development.
The Watchers
This is an ILLEGAL ADVERTISEMENT. According to FTC regulations ADVERTISEMENTS run by online news agencies must be clearly and obviously labelled as ADVERTISEMENTS. Claiming it is a “public interest article” does NOT exempt it from this requirement! If you are promoting a product, even if you do not receive payment for doing so, it qualifies as an ADVERTISEMENT and must be so labelled.
This ADVERTISEMENT, this network, and Tribune Media, are being reported to the FTC.
In addition, iTunes is being made aware that you are promoting a product available on its website illegally. So I would expect their legal department to be in touch.
