ALLEGAN, Mich. — A woman who police saywas caught on surveillance video stealing from an Allegan business is in custody.
Amanda Brooks-Kolberg, 29, was arrested Thursday, according to Allegan Police. Police said Tuesday that she was caught on video stealing a purse that contained a “very large sum of money.”
The purse belonged to the business owner, who was going to use the money inside for a down payment on a house, according to a release. Police said Friday that less than half of the money was recovered.
Brooks-Kolberg will be arraigned at a later date.
