ROSE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — Police are investigating the death of a woman who was fatally shot while running on a rural road in Oakland County.
State police Lt. Mike Shaw says it’s possible that the 31-year-old woman was familiar with the shooter. The body was found Saturday on the front lawn of a home in Rose Township.
Shaw says the victim’s relatives said she regularly ran on Fish Lake Road. He says investigators are trying to determine if there’s someone she “might have been having some kind of difficulties with.” She lived in the Holly area.
By Sunday night, state police were looking for a white or light-color four-door sedan that may have been speeding on Fish Lake Road between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday.
