1. Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton is opening a campaign office in Grand Rapids today, and her running mate will be in town to mark the occasion.

Clinton's vice presidential nominee, Senator Tim Kaine will be here to help open it as well as continue his week- long jobs tour.

The office, which will be located on wealthy street near fuller, will serve as a hub for Clinton supporters to mobilize voters.

During today's opening, Kaine will offer some remarks about Clinton’s plans to build up America’s economy.

2. The opening ceremony to the Olympic summer games is set for tonight in Rio de Janeiro.

The Olympic torch made its way into Rio ahead of today's ceremony.

There were celebrations and people lining the streets for miles.

The torch then headed to the famous Copa-Cabana beach.

Before arriving at tonight's opening ceremony, the torch will be carried to Christ the Redeemer Statue.

You can watch the opening ceremony on NBC tonight at 7:30 p.m.

3. Grab your snacks and lawn chairs, because Movies in the Park is happening tonight!

For tonight's movie they'll be playing the modern classic, “Edward Scissorhands.”

Everything gets started at Ah-Nab-Awen Park at 7 p.m., with some fun entertainment before the film starts.

Bring your own blanket, chairs, beverages, and snacks, or pick some up some food from local vendors on site.

The park fills up fast, so try to get there early.

The series wraps up on August 15, with a double feature of “Ferris Bueller” and the voter's choice movie, “Jumanji.”

4. Get ready to see the streets covered in rainbows. One of the most colorful runs around makes its triumphant return to Grand Rapids Saturday.

The Color Run Tropicolor World Tour is charging through the city, starting at Calder Plaza.

It's a 5K race that will certainly leave you far more colorful by the time you hit the finish line.

A couple of the special packages are sold out, but classic kits are still available for $40.

You get a limited edition shirt, entry into the race, a headband, and other fun stuff.

5. If you're looking for a great bargain, today's a great chance to find one all across the country.

The world's longest yard sale is underway, stretching for nearly 700 miles from Michigan all the way into Alabama.

The annual sale runs along the U.S. 127 corridor, and features just about everything you could imagine.

The sale has grown dramatically in popularity every year since it started in 1987, and some people travel the entire length of the sale. The sale goes until Sunday.
