Police: Argument fuels stabbing in Kalamazoo home, woman arrested

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A 24-year-old woman was arrested after police say she stabbed another woman in the chest early Saturday morning.

It happened around 12:15 a.m. in the 300 block of Wall Street in Kalamazoo.  An argument erupted between the two women and that’s when the suspect grabbed a kitchen knife and allegedly stabbed the victim, according to a release from Kalamazoo Public Safety.

The victim, a 23-year-old woman, was listed in stable condition at Bronson Hospital.

Police recovered a knife and marijuana at the scene of the crime.

The suspect was arrested for assault with intent to murder.
