GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Residents at the Samaritas Senior Living facility are reaching out to help the younger generation. They are collecting backpacks and school supplies for children in foster care.

They hope to fill 100 backpacks before the start of the school year for students in the organization's foster care program. This is the 4th year the residents have taken part in the backpack program.

If you'd like to help, you can drop off a backpack or basic school supplies at Samaritas, located at 2000 32nd St. SE in Grand Rapids. You can call them at (616) 452-5900.
