A local community is getting a new disc golf course.

It's called Boom Park, and it will be a 10-hole course at Richards Park in Muskegon County.

The total cost of the project is around $5,000.

The owner of Sweet Spot Disc Golf, came up with the idea for this new course and says the project's been mostly funded by local donations, with several people sponsoring the holes.

The goal is to open the course by Labor Day, and the name Boom Park is a reference to the Muskegon Log Booming Company, which formed in 1884.

If you've always wanted to live in a light house, here's your chance.

Better yet, it has a view of Sleeping Bear Dunes and the Manitou Islands.

The North Manitou Shoal Light is being sold after no buyers snagged it last year.

Built in 1935, the lighthouse includes four bedrooms, plumbing and generator-powered electricity.

It’s open to registered bidders who have paid a $10,000 deposit.

Three other Lake Michigan lighthouses are also being auctioned, including the White Shoal Light near the Mackinac Bridge.
