WYOMING, Mich. -- A photo of three West Michigan girls praying before breakfast is going viral, with tens of thousands of likes and shares.
The girls, two of them 6 years old and the other 3, were just doing what their parents taught them to do before eating. Although accepting and loving everyone for who they are is normal to them, they're setting a big example for others.
The picture of Oriana, Grace and Alexis has now been shared more than 57,000 times. Ruth Andrew, who is Oriana and Alexis' mom and Grace's stepmom, took the viral photo.
"That's something that we have taught them to do, but we were always there to do it with them," Andrew said. "But to see them do it themselves and they're holding hands, it was like a precious moment that I was like 'Okay, we need to capture this.'"
When they posted it on Facebook, notifications kept rolling in as more than 64,000 people have liked the photo.
Andrew says it isn't just the overwhelming cuteness oozing out of the photo that is touching so many people.
"There is a lot of color dividing, there is just a lot of negative things going on and I think this post is just showing that if kids can do it, we can do it," Andrew said.
