WEST MICHIGAN — A slow moving cold front will bring the chance of significant rainfall to the area through Friday.

Our Future Track model shows showers and thunderstorms developing late Thursday night and continuing into early Friday afternoon.

The model shows another round of showers and thunderstorms for Friday afternoon and night. The thunderstorms will be slow moving with heavy rain, but severe weather is not likely.

The rainfall forecast from the National Weather Service calls for around .50″-1.00″ of rain through Friday evening.  Rainfall forecasts for slow moving thunderstorms are tricky, and some spots in West Michigan could receive significantly more rain than forecast.
