GRAND HAVEN TOWNSHIP, Mich.— An Ottawa County Deputy is recovering after his cruiser was hit while transporting a suspect Friday afternoon.
It happened at the intersection of 144th Ave. and Wintergreen Dr. Deputies say a driver failed to yield before turning and ended up hitting the officer’s car.
That driver wasn’t hurt, but did get a ticket.
The deputy and suspect were taken to the hospital as a precaution. Both are expected to be okay.
