1. U.S. Olympian James Feigen and three other Olympians are in hot water this morning.

As you may remember he, Ryan Lochte, Gunnar Bentz and jack conger claimed they were robbed after a late night of partying last week.

But authorities now say that story was a lie, with the men actually vandalizing a gas station bathroom, while intoxicated.

Feigen has agreed to pay about $10,000 and will leave the country later today.

Meantime, Lochte is already back in the U.S. and the two other men flew home late Thursday night.

2. West Michigan veterans received a special gift Thursday.

$30,000 was donated to four local chapters of the Blue Star Mothers.

It’s a national non-profit that helps provide services to veterans and those serving in the armed forces.

That donation came from the Spartan Nash foundation. It'll be used to help renovate Kozy Korners, a recreational room at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans.

Starting tonight at 5 p.m. you can help pay it forward to vets during a fundraiser at Kitzingen Brewery. It's on 44th street in Wyoming.

3. Parents and kids in Kent County can check out a fun event that could also land them some much appreciated school supplies tonight.

It's the YMCA’s Back to School Bash, set for this evening at the David D. Hunting YMCA on Lake Michigan Drive.

There will be carnival style games, treats, giveaways, and more.

Families can play to win school supplies.

The "Y" is still accepting donations all the way until the event starts, at 6  p.m. Everything from pencils notebooks, to backpacks and calculators would be appreciated.

4. Fox 17 Morning Mix is a proud sponsor of the first Barry County Brewfest.

It's Saturday in downtown Middleville from 1:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

They'll be featuring amazing selections of beers, ciders and wines plus there will be a local food tasting bar and plenty of entertainment.

This free event features a mix of notable jazz performers as well as up-and-coming artists.

Cindy Bradley headlines the first day with performances by the Grand Rapids Jazz Orchestra.

On Sunday performers include Lakeshore Big Band, Walter White, and Urban Jazz Coalition.

You can bring folding chairs, blankets, and snacks.

It goes from 12:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
