Former Rep. Hoekstra named co-chair of Trump’s Michigan campaign

LANSING, Mich. – The Donald Trump presidential campaign announced  five co-chairs for their Michigan efforts, and the team includes a former West Michigan congressman.

Pete Hoekstra, former representative of the 2nd Congressional District, covering much of the Lake Michigan shoreline is one of the five co-chairs for the Michigan campaign. Hoekstra is also a former Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee.

Joining Hoekstra as co-chairs are:

  • Joseph Guzman, PhD – Assistant Professor at Michigan State University and President and Co-Founder of the American Society of Hispanic Economists.
  • Linda Lee Tarver – President of the Republican Women’s Federation of Michigan and Vice-Chair and Founding Member of the Alliance of Black Republicans.
  • Terry Bowman – Chairman of the Michigan Faith and Freedom Coalition, President of Union Conservatives and Ford Motor Company hourly employee.
  • Lena Epstein – General Manager and Co-Owner of Vesco Oil Corporation and Member of the Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

Trump is expected to return to the Detroit area for a campaign stop in September.
