GRAND RAPIDS, Mich – Grand Rapids Police are investigating what led up to a motorcycle crash in downtown Grand Rapids on Wednesday night.
Authorities say it was just before 11:00 p.m. when first responders were called to Monroe Avenue near Pearl Street on a report of a single motorcycle crash.
Police tell FOX17 the man driving the motorcycle had just left a nearby downtown establishment when he fell over backwards on the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist is expected to recover from his injuries.
As of 11:20 p.m., a portion of Monroe Avenue remains closed while police investigate the crash.
