HOLLAND, Mich. – Holland police are asking for help in finding the person responsible for robbing a Dollar Tree Wednesday night.

Investigators say the suspect went into the Dollar Tree at 661 E. 24th Street just before closing at 9:00pm.  The man demanded cash from an employee while showing a handgun.  After getting cash from one of the registers, the suspect demanded the employee get additional cash that was located in the store office. He then got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police say the suspect is described as a lighter-skinned Latino or black male, between 20 and 30 years old, about 5’6″ – 5’8″ tall and has a thin build.  He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue sweatpants.  He had a white rag or bandana over his face.

Investigators believe that he was picked up by a vehicle a short distance away from the store.

Investigators also say that there are similarities to a robbery at a Speedway gas station on August 23rd, but there is no confirmation that they are connected.
