BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – The man who died in a house fire in Battle Creek Monday night has been identified.
The victim has been identified as Eric Phillips, 44. He was a co-owner of the home and the fire department says that Phillips was working on the home at the time of the fire. He was not currently living in the home, which was located at 276 E. Michigan Avenue.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. A cause of death for Phillips is also still being determined.
