IONIA COUNTY, Mich.– One person is dead and an infant hospitalized after a crash Friday in Ionia County.
According to Ionia County Sheriff’s deputies, an Oldsmobile Alero driven by a 27-year-old Belding man was heading north on Morrison Lake Road Friday. That driver disregarded a stop sign and drove in front of a Trail Blazer, driven by a 31-year-old man, who was heading west on Grand River Avenue.
The passenger of the Oldsmobile died in the crash. The driver of that vehicle also had an infant as a passenger and both were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The driver and passengers of the Trail Blazer were also taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
No identities are being released at this time as the investigation is ongoing.
