How to shop for a mattress that’s right for you

At some point in your life you're going to buy a new mattress, but how will you know which mattress is right for you out of the dozens in the showroom?

At Jonathan Stevens Mattress, there's two parts to a mattress: support and comfort.

The people at Jonathan Stevens say when you come to a showroom, make sure you're wearing comfortable clothes. Wear something that you'd be able to fall asleep in to help you feel the comfort of the mattress.

If you're shopping for a mattress for you and your partner, make sure you both come in and try out the mattress. It needs to be comfortable for both of you, not just one or the other.

Don't just sit on the end of the mattress and say it's comfortable. Take off your shoes, and fully lay on the mattress in a sleeping position you'd normally sleep in. Make sure you have a comfortable pillow with you too.

The last bit of advice is to try out several mattresses, don't just try out the first one you see. The first mattress might be comfortable, but there might be another one you like better.

Jonathan Stevens encourages all their customers to follow these tips when buying a new mattress, because their main priority is to make sure you get a good night's rest.

They also always make sure you get the best deal up front. They make all of their mattresses in a locally owned factory right here in West Michigan. Each mattress is personally made to your needs, and assembled the day before it's delivered to your home, so it's a brand new mattress the day it comes into your home.

Jonathan Stevens Mattress Company has eight locations in West Michigan. Click here to find a location near you.
