BARRY COUNTY, Mich.– The Southwest Enforcement Team (SWET) conducted Domestic Cannabis Eradication and Suppression Program (DCE/SP)  flights on Tuesday, and found a large growing operation in Barry County.

During the federally-funded flights used to locate and remove illegally grown marijuana, SWET detectives were able to find marijuana plants being grown at a Barry County home. A man was seen leaving the area where the marijuana was growing.

Detectives were able to find large amounts of money, processed marijuana and Butane Hash Oil (BHO) in the man’s trailer. Over 44 marijuana plants, 23 pounds of process marijuana and 5 ounces of BHO was seized from the property.

The suspect was arrested after being in violation of the Michigan Medical Marijuana Act and is being held at Barry County Jail. His identity is not being released at this time.

The police don’t make the law they only enforce it. The man was breaking the law and he knew he was breaking the law. If you don’t like the law be upset with the law makers. Completely different branch of government.

How dare you threaten the police with everything going on. Do you understand he concept of doing your job? Do you understand the concept of laws? If you understand those two things you shouldn’t have a problem with these officers.

It’s a plant, seriously who are they saving and protecting ? Marijuana and hemp have several benefits and at one point and time it was made law in the United States to grow hemp. Benefits of hemp and marijuana include fuel, building material, paper, helping and curing head aches, cancer, anxiety, back pains, and so much more! Do your research…. I remember the dare program in school always taught that marijuana was bad and a gateway drug well I’ve seen alcohol more as a gateway then anything else. Also the federal government has marijuana and hemp as a schedule 1 which means no health benefits BUT they have there own patients that have medical issues and they issue them marijuana they can even travel on planes with it because it’s from the government. It’s twisted in my book and it’s time to untwist it and get some real facts out here.

The BHO is what made everything illegal, along with state requirements of 2.5 oz per patient. Wonder if the plant material was really processed or not. They usually try to weight all material including stem and stalks. Which is completely wrong and not the product. Really they should leave cannabis growers alone. Their are more major issues to deal with.
