Police: Sturgis cemetery vandalized again

STURGIS, Mich. —  Sturgis Police say the Oaklawn Cemetery has been vandalized again.

According to a release, “a substantial amount of graffiti” was found at the cemetery Friday.   Police say a mausoleum was targeted.

In April, more than 30 headstones and grave markers were destroyed.  Police also said suspects broke into the cemetery and vandalized a small building on the property.

Anyone with information on the vandalism is asked to call Sturgis Police 269-659-7260, St. Joseph County Central Dispatch at 269-467-4195 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-342-STOP.
