NORMAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A Sheriff’s Department in northern Michigan says they have received a complaint about a razor blade found in a child’s halloween candy.
Manistee County Sheriff’s Deputies tell FOX 17 that the piece of candy in question was given to a child while ‘trick-or-treating’ in Norman Township Monday. The Sheriff’s Office is still working to determine where exactly the child got the candy from.
A parent is said to have found the small piece of metal before allowing her kids to dig in.
The piece of a razor blade was found inside what Deputies say was a Tootsie Roll.
Sheriff Dale Kowalkowski asks that if any other families in the Norman Township area had something similar happen, to please contact their office.
