ORONOKO TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A 32-year-old man is expected to make a full recovery after being shot in the shoulder after three men allegedly broke into his home on Friday.

It happened around 10:20 a.m. in the 200 block of East Snow Road in Orornoko Township.

Travis Donnell Eidsness, 32, told police he confronted three black males on his porch. One of the suspects asked to use his phone before they threatened him with a handgun. The victim was ordered back into the house, according to a press release from the Berrien Springs Oronoko Township Police.

Police say the suspects fought with the victim before being shot in the left shoulder. Eidsness reportedly ran to a neighbor’s house for help before being taken to Lakeland Hospital – St Joseph. Police say he’s expected to survive.

The three black male suspects reportedly took off in a newer model white Ford Focus.
